Browsing through the library today, I found a book, tucked away in the dusty unix area ..... I've brought it home to check out. It was written in 1994 about unix. It's says on the front cover 'why unix must die'

hahaha

I'll review it, I curious to see if any other those 1994 critisms have been
fix in 2007 !!! it is 13 years! :-) wow.!!!


X31 Dual Head Working!

Okay, I've been trying to get my thnikpad X31 working in dual head mode. I've managed to fix it, after trying various configurations and following posts it seems the fix was something trivial. Hopefully other thinkpad X31 users will find this and get some dual head action.

The import thing in the xorg conf is

Virtual   2400 1024

and then just execute

xrandr --output LVDS --right-of VGA-0

bingo! Dual head then now works !!!

I guess it's easy when you know how. However finding documentation

I found a couple of projects that might compliment  the olpc project.

susainable power sources for olpc laptops.!!!!

yourself a low powered wireless node.
