Probably a silly question but does anyone know if it is possible to access outlook/exchange on a linux machine on the abertay network ?
I've got my emails forwarded from my abertay accounts to my gmail account so I can get my emails that way but it would be useful if I could get access to my outlook calendar too. Either syncing with google calendar or by using a locally installed calendar app on the linux machine would be fine.
I've had a look at the google sync software and that works fine but still requires me to be logged in to windows to use it. Anyone got any bright ideas ?
Thanks,
Andy
evolution exchange
If your running ubuntu, just aptitude install evolution-exchange and your laughing.
Also worth knowing too mail-notification will also check your uni email
the server is https://webmail.abertay.ac.uk for evolution followed by abertay username and password. When your setting up account type they should be an option for exchange.
Mail-notification daemon is imap and webmail.abertay.ac.uk
Hope that helps
